New Update

I hate the new update. Now there is a Google search bar that is physically impossible for me to move/remove sitting at the bottom of my screen. I hope they see this and I hope more people complain because it needs to change.

As has been explained in other threads on this topic, simply go into the home screen settings and turn off search.  This will take it off your screen, and you will be able to add back (or not) any previous search widget you had.  It's an abomination, but at least they put in a mechanism to remove it for those (everyone) who does not want it.

It's not on the home page. It's on the apps page.

On the apps page is the normal finder search bar on the bottom that has been there since 7.0. You did not specify which screen you were looking at. And, if the Google bar has been added, I'm sure the same button that removes it from the home page removes it from the apps page. No one else has mentioned this. A search of topics would still be warranted, as would specificity of your issue.
