One UI 9 beta mobile phone call drops randomly

I've been having issues where I'm trying to take a call, it picks up just fine but then it just goes silent and the call even tested it with my fold 7 that's also running one UI 9 beta and the fold is fine but the s24u just drops the call 

I switched to from an esim to a normal sim and still the same issue

Not yet I figured maybe someone else might be having the same issue and thought if someone had reported it before me


I lurk but not report so this is new to me cause it's directly affecting me

I have the s24u & I'm on the beta. I'm not having that issue on my regular Sim device. That's why I thought it would be best to post in the beta feedback, just as you did, including your logs. If they don't get feedback, they don't know there's an issue. As a fellow s24u owner, I appreciate you taking the time to report it.

I normally get on the beta I see Alot of really good improvements

Side by side comparison it feels like my s24u caught up to my fold 7 (which is a beast in its own right) and I have 2 numbers on the s24u

Metro by T-Mobile for the physical sim

And astound for the esim

No matter which line I try using it still drops the call (10$ wasted on a physical sim 😭)

This definitely feels like an improvement on the s24u & to be able to compare some of the performance to the fold 7 ... nice!

The dropped calls does sound like it could be tied to the dual sim. Glad you reported it.

Sorry about the $10. I guess the days of free sim cards are over. It must be a huge financial burden for the phone carriers to provide sim cards. 😉 🙄🤣

That's the thing I have astound as a backup number(free line I wanted to try) so I normally just use metro

Metro by itself or astound by itself with full signal and clear weather it was dropping the call on my boss lol


Fold 7 however it was a clear call and no issues

Same situation with my family it would just go silent and bloop call drops


I got so annoyed I even tested the call between my fold and s24u and it still dropped


I reset network settings, tried clearing the cache on the phone app, restarted multiple times( forgot that the clear cache in the menu is gone)

Again fold 7 luckily it has its own number and it works just fine


I'm now leaning towards the beta cause on the 8.5 beta it was just fine and when 8.5 was officially released it was just fine


So now time to pray and see if the Sammy gods will reach out and heed my call lol
