Galaxy Watch 8 Health Features Incompatible with Galaxy S26 Ultra One UI 9.0

Hello Ladies & Gentlemen,

I'm having issues with the features on my watch not being available, despite it being a Galaxy Watch 8, 44mm One UI 8.0.

For example, on the Samsung Health App, I see many heart health features, but it says it requires a Galaxy Watch 7, Ultra, or Higher. I have the Galaxy Watch 8, 44mm. Am I missing something here? I have the higher model than the Watch 7, which is compatible.

For some reason, I believe this to be a software issue, my phone and watch are not fully on the same page. My phone has One UI 9.0 (beta) and my watch is still on One UI 8.0. Maybe, as result of this, most of of the health features are unavailable on my watch - yet they show up on my phone.

I guess I am just confused if this is a watch issue for me, and software issue we know of already (and I'm unaware), or something else that I'm not thinking of... is the device the issue or the software?

If anyone knows what I'm talking about please leave a comment. If anyone can help, that would be greatly appreciated. I'd love to start using some of these heart health features on my watch.

Why do I not have an update to One UI 9.0 for my Watch 8?

It's just not enough data. You need to wear your watch more so it can collect more data about your heart. Did you sleep wearing your watch?
You need to sleep, exercise, and check your vascular load wearing your watch, and also check your BMI.

I wear it 24/7/365, unless I'm going into a medical test or something. From what I've read, it seems to be sofrware related and not data related. Although, that would make sense if it were gathering data - but does not show this. Just states that I'm incompatible and need a superior watch... do you have the Watch 8 with One UI 9.0 on it?

I do have a Watch 8 with One UI 8, not 9. However, I don't wear it during sleep or workouts.

Some new features require the watch to also be on one ui 9.... Since that's only available on the latest watches, you have to wait for that update.

Thank you so much. Unfortunately, I agree (I don't like waiting). If you know the exact date, please let me know. Historically, these UI updates have rolled out late July/August for the Galaxy Watches. This has been the latest it has been in the year without having a update rolled out. Thanks, again!
